I’m a huge Sasha Banks fan.
No, you don’t understand — I’m a HUGE Sasha Banks fan.
I’m such a fan that she’s the only person I wanted to see this year at WrestleMania Axxess in Dallas. When her session ended before I was anywhere near meeting her, I didn’t see it as a wasted day at all; I’d rather have spent the day hoping to meet her than actually meeting anyone else. At least I’d be live at WrestleMania to see her win the Women’s Championship, right?
Yeah, about that…
When she didn’t win the title at WrestleMania, I said “
Why the fuck did Charlotte of all people win?! It’s not her time.”
Sasha Banks’ time is now.
She’s been able to establish the ‘Legit Boss’ on the main roster and break away from only being known for her work in NXT. She didn’t have much character development going into WrestleMania, and as much as the mark in me would’ve loved to be there to witness her winning the title in person, in some ways her victory on RAW is more satisfying.
Check out the video below as I talk about why Sasha Banks was a superstar long before WWE ever gave fans the “permission” to call her one:
