Amid rumors of a showdown between Big Show and the NBA-legend, WWE has confirmed that Shaq will not be competing at WrestleMania 28.
Talk about Shaquille O’Neal appearing at the big show in Miami has existed for months, even being hyped by Shaq himself. He talked to Hollywoodlife.com at the Hall of Game Awards in Los Angeles over the weekend and told them in an interview that he would be in a match at WrestleMania:

Despite Shaquille O’Neal’s claim that he will compete at WrestleMania XXVIII in Miami, WWE officials have informed WWE.com that the 15-time NBA All-Star is not scheduled to appear on the card.
JayDub: I did find it weird that rumors of Big Show vs Shaq existed at the same time as WWE was building to Cody Rhodes vs Big Show. It’s also pretty interesting that WWE completely stomped on this story; they usually don’t go out of their way to deny rumors so there must be more to the story.
