The 2012 Royal Rumble winner Sheamus made his WrestleMania intentions clear at WWE’s Elimination Chamber pay-per-view when he confronted current World Heavyweight Champion Daniel Bryan.
As if there was any doubt in his decision on which world champion he would face at WrestleMania 28, Sheamus confirmed his challenge to Daniel Bryan in a video posted on WWE.com
When asked why he chose Daniel Bryan and the World Heavyweight Championship, Sheamus had this to say:
I’ve already been a two-time WWE champion, so the next logical step for me is to become the World Heavyweight Champion.
When I came to SmackDown, I went around saying SmackDown belongs to me. On April 1st in Miami, FL at WrestleMania 28, those words are going to be come a reality because I guarantee you, fella, I’m going to walk out the new World Heavyweight Champion.”
Following the developments, WWE has officially added Sheamus vs Daniel Bryan for the World Heavyweight Championship to the WrestleMania 28 card.
